With my pictures I like to give you an impression of the astonishment and the admiration I experience outdoors.

Before I started photography I was dedicated to wild plants, from childhood on. So you will find here lots of plants.
Green is my color, wilderness my favourite, tropical wet chaotic bush most of all.

As you have seen at the top of this page an Anolis is watching.
It is a very curious animal, very active and fast too. Thanks to its curiosity it is always there to be photographed. In the Caribic that is. I like this very charming animal a lot. On the Antillean Islands his name is Anoli and therefore Anoli is in the name of this website.

Several pages, each dedicated to one area, show you some characteristics of the area. Among these some special little things in real macro photography. With patience and without any hurry to move on I sometimes discover such small surprises of nature.
This website will show what you regularly don't see.

Everything you will find on these pages is photographed and published just as it is in nature. Pictures which are not taken outdoors in freedom will be, and always should be, marked as 'Captive', as stated in the international code for nature photography.

Horticulture, zoo and game farm photography can also be beautiful, but are no nature photography.
Sometimes the risk of severe  disturbing of nature is too big and then it can be a better choice to photograph the subject in controlled conditions (Captive) or to photograph not at all.

I am photographing Nature, that's the way natural things are on their own and in balance (sort of) with each other. Nature is a conglomerate of societies of all kinds of animals and plants living together, also inevitably disturbing each other. That disturbance is part of the system, an occasion for learning and for evolution. Just people have gone too far with disturbing, too far with manipulating nature to which they belong or belonged. That's why I am always trying to avoid human artefacts in my photographs, particular human beings and industrial or urban activities.
